Description

Michael J. Cady was born in Portland Maine in October 1866. He was the son of Patrick E. and Celia J. Clancy Cady who emigrated from County Galway. Cady was the sexton and janitor of St. Dominic's Church from 1899 until 1928. He was a Sergeant in the Montgomery Guards. When he died in March or 1939, he was survived by two brothers, retired deputy police chief Stephen H. Cady and John W. Cady, as well as one sister, Margaret, wife of Joseph E. F. Connolly (cousin of John Ford).
